Letter from Co-Founder

Hello! My name is Vanessa Dunn, Celebrity Makeup Artist and Co-Founder of National Online Makeup Artists. I am excited to welcome you to NOMA!

When I first began my career as a freelance Makeup Artist years ago, I had a difficult time getting my foot in the door and finding work. I had the skill, passion and a modest make-up kit, but there was one thing missing…a job! I also discovered something else profound. The general public could not find us either. I thought, “there has to be a better way!”

Now there is. Here at NOMA we make it easy. Our motto is, “Need a Makeup Artist? Think NOMA!” Nice and simple. We display ALL types of makeup artists on our site with varied specialties, including Weddings, Television, Print, Theatre, Special Effects, Music Videos, Drag, Proms and much more! Try us today!

The History

National Online Makeup Artists was founded in 2005 in New York City by Celebrity Makeup Artist Vanessa Dunn. With a life-long passion for makeup Ms. Dunn enlisted her twin sister Kelli, who has a head for business, to create a place for makeup artists and the public to come together.

Vanessa has been a Professional Makeup Artist for over (20) years and has been featured on E! News, Access Hollywood, Extra!, The Montel Williams Show, CW11 News and worked with celebrities such as Kat Von D, Nick Cannon, Katharine McPhee, William H. Macy and more.

Ms. Dunn has also worked New York and LA Fashion Week, Sundance Film Festival and was a member of Sephora’s National Pro Beauty Team. During Vanessa’s tenure with Sephora she was also a Color & Product Expert and a National Education Specialist.

National Online Makeup Artists is rapidly becoming the #1 makeup artist site on the web. In 2007 they launched National Online Makeup Academy, the first-ever online makeup course for aspiring makeup artists.
